When it’s useful

Make the decision
before it’s urgent.

You may be planning a change, questioning rising costs, or noticing that infrastructure takes more of the team’s time. An assessment helps you understand the causes before committing to a solution.

  • You’re preparing for growth, a migration, or new enterprise requirements.
  • Costs are rising, incidents are recurring, or upkeep is taking more time.
  • You need to decide where to invest engineering time, and what can wait.

The questions that matter

A clear view of the platform.
A plan for the business.

The scope follows your priorities. We look at how these parts of the environment affect one another.

01

Where could growth strain the platform?

We review architecture, capacity, and performance against your growth plans to identify where the current design could become a constraint.

Architecture · Scalability · Performance

02

Can we depend on it when things go wrong?

We examine monitoring, recovery plans, and operational ownership against the level of reliability the business expects.

Reliability · Recovery · Observability · Ownership

03

Are our risks and costs understood?

We review access, configuration, and cloud spending to explain where the business is exposed and where costs may be avoidable.

Security · Cloud cost · Operational risk

04

Can the team keep delivering?

We trace a release from code to production, looking for manual work, unclear ownership, and delays that take engineers away from the product.

Deployment & delivery · Automation · Developer experience

What you take away

Clarity you can use.
With or without us.

You can use the findings to brief leadership, assign work, and plan investment. Implementation with Ü is optional.

We agree the exact deliverables when we set the scope.

01 / Understand

A current-state assessment.

An account of how the environment works, where it falls short, and which risks and improvements deserve attention.

02 / Decide

A prioritized 90-day action plan.

A sequence of work that accounts for effort, dependencies, ownership, and the capacity of your team.

03 / Look ahead

A longer-term roadmap.

Recommendations for larger investments beyond the first 90 days, presented with the findings in an executive readout.

Inside the engagement

Business first.
Evidence throughout.

Typically four to six weeks, with the sequence and timing agreed around scope and your team’s availability.

Start

Agree the questions.

Meet with business and engineering leaders. Agree the goals, scope, access, and people involved.

Explore

Understand the environment.

Review architecture and operating practices. Talk with the people who build and run the platform.

Resolve

Turn findings into decisions.

Validate what we find, work through the trade-offs, and present a prioritized plan with your team.

A considered approach to access

Your environment.
Your controls.

We agree access and information handling before work begins. Discovery uses read-only access wherever practical, with only the permissions needed for the agreed scope.

The assessment is designed to understand your environment. Any implementation work is separately agreed, with your approval process, testing, rollback, and ownership made explicit.

After the readout, you can take the plan forward internally, engage Ü for focused execution, or explore an embedded partnership. There’s no obligation to continue with Ü.
